A rapid antigen test (also called a lateral flow test) detects specific proteins from the SARS-CoV-2 virus. A simple swab sample is processed on-site, giving you a result in around 15 to 30 minutes. Rapid testing is convenient when you need a quick answer, for example before an event or visiting vulnerable family members.
Suitable for adults and children who would like a fast COVID-19 result. Rapid tests are most reliable when symptoms are present or viral levels are high. If you need a test specifically for travel, please check whether your destination accepts antigen tests, as many require a PCR test. Our team can advise you.
